About PrepPal Kitchen
PrepPal Kitchen is a small tool for picking dinner. You tell it what you feel like — a couple of cuisines, the proteins you want to use, anything to avoid — and it builds a week of meals around your preferences, with a full recipe behind each one when you want to cook it.
Dinner shouldn’t be a daily mental tax. The hard part isn’t the cooking, it’s the deciding — over and over again, every evening. PrepPal Kitchen puts the deciding part on rails: you get a week of options that respect your preferences and your taste, and you can swap any meal you don’t like in a couple of seconds.
The more you use it, the better it gets at you. Tap the heart on a meal you loved, and PrepPal Kitchen leans toward dishes with the same flavors, ingredients, and techniques the next time you generate a plan.
And it isn’t only what PrepPal Kitchen dreams up. Found a recipe you love online, or have a favorite on a cookbook page? Paste the link or snap a photo and it lands in your library — ready to drop into any day of your week, right beside the AI picks. Tell it what’s already in your kitchen and it will cook from that, too.
What’s working today
- Generate 5 weeknight dinners from your preferences — cuisines, allergens, proteins, household size.
- Add a kid-friendly dinner alongside each adult dinner — 10 meals for the week, one of each per day.
- Make it simple — every dish under 30 minutes with 8 or fewer ingredients, for the weeks you don’t feel like cooking.
- A full recipe for any meal — prep and cook time, ingredients, numbered steps, chef tips, and substitutions.
- Swap any meal you don’t like — the cuisine for that day stays put so the variety you picked is preserved.
- An aisle-grouped grocery list aggregated across the whole week, with editable quantities.
- Save plans to a personal calendar so each week is one click away.
- Heart the meals you love. Future plans lean toward dishes with the same flavors, ingredients, and cooking styles.
- Import a recipe you found online — paste the link, or snap a photo of a cookbook page — and PrepPal Kitchen pulls in the ingredients and steps for you to review, edit, and save.
- Keep a library of the recipes and meals you love, and drop any of them straight into a day of your plan — as is. The grocery list updates to match.
- Smart Pantry (Beta) — track what’s in your kitchen, generate plans that cook from what you already have, and keep those items off your grocery list.
- Hand your grocery list to a delivery service — enter your postal code and PrepPal Kitchen points you to the ones that cover your area, list copied and ready.
- Save your default preferences once — cuisines, allergens, household size — so every new plan starts pre-filled.
- Accounts, so your plans, favorites, and saved recipes follow you across devices.
What’s coming next
- Premium plans — higher monthly limits, plus the delivery handoff and the Smart Pantry tier.
- Smarter pantry matching — recognizing that “scallion” and “green onion” are the same thing, so nothing slips onto your list twice.
- Add a saved recipe to a day right from the plan calendar — today you add them from your favorites.
- Type in a recipe by hand — for the ones that aren’t online.
What PrepPal Kitchen isn’t
It isn’t another endless recipe site. There are ten thousand of those, and most are built to keep you scrolling through SEO preamble, ads, and lifestyle photography before you find a measurement. When you bring a recipe here it goes straight into your week — not a feed to get lost in. PrepPal Kitchen answers one question — what should we eat this week? — and gets out of the way once you have an answer.
It isn’t an algorithm trying to optimize your engagement. Your favorites shape next week’s suggestions, and that’s it. No infinite feed, no “suggested for you” surface, no notifications. The grocery list is real, the recipes are runnable, the calendar remembers what you saved — that’s the entire surface area.
